It’s that pie time of the year. When the weather turns colder, when the leaves change, when you start seeing Christmas commercials on the TV…this is when I start baking all sorts of pies.
I recently made a Pumpkin Pie for a small holiday get together. It was simple and basic with a buttery, flaky crust filled with a spiced pumpkin filling. The filling turned out great; not too sweet, and the pumpkin flavor really shined through. This pie is best served slightly cool with a dollop of whipped cream.
