Here is a simple cake that I made for a Birthday! The theme was Ocean and Dolphins.
The cake was Red Velvet with a Chocolate Mousse Filling and Cream Cheese Frosting. The cake was moist with a hint of chocolate, the filling was light and sweet, and the frosting complemented them both perfectly.
To decorate this cake, I frosted the entire cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, then added a cute Dolphin to the center. I then marbled some of the frosting with blue food coloring and piped it along the bottom of the cake to look like waves.
Then I added in some brown sugar “sand” around the edges to mimic the beach. Too fun! I am very pleased.
