Birthday Celebration Push Pops & Cake Balls

Celebrating birthdays is the best! The older you get, the more fun they should be. I was approached by a woman who was throwing herself a special party. Here are the goodies that I made.

First up was Cupcake Pops. This was the first time that I have made them and let me tell you, they were fun. I really learned a lot.

I made two different varieties. Chocolate Cake w/ Chocolate Buttercream and Vanilla Cake w/ Vanilla Buttercream. The cake and the frosting matched in color to make the whole pop one cohesive color. There was tape running up the sides of the container and a little ribbon accent on the top so that the pops looked like a Birthday Candle – how fun!

The next goodie was Cake Balls. There were two flavors of cake, Lemon Cake and Chocolate Cake, and they were dipped in White and Milk Chocolate. Gold and white sprinkles decorated the tops of the cake balls, and some were adorned with a simple drizzle of chocolate.

Everything turned out wonderful. I can’t wait to experiment with Cupcake Pops in the future!
