Simple & Fun Cupcakes

Cupcakes can be Simple & Fun!

Here is an example of a simple cupcake: Vanilla Cupcake w/ Pink Vanilla Buttercream. I made these for a client who was having a birthday party for her daughter.

The theme was girly with various shades of pink. She had toppers for the cupcakes so they were just piped with a swirl of buttercream! Super cute and simple!

And here is an example of a fun cupcake: Vanilla Rainbow Cupcakes w/ Vanilla Buttercream. I really liked how these turned out! I made them by mixing up the batter and then dividing it into 6 equal parts and dying them each a different color of the rainbow. I then piped each color into the bottom of a cupcake liner and baked them up.

They turned out pretty cool. With all that color I topped them with simple white buttercream. They are super fun when you bite into them and see all the colors!

Here is another example of a fun cupcake: Red, White, & Blue Cupcakes w/ Vanilla Buttercream. I had some extra buttercream in those colors so I whipped up some vanilla cupcake batter, divided it into thirds and dyed one blue, one red, and left the other plain. I then layered them into the cupcake liners with red on the bottom, then white, then blue on top. After they were baked I then frosted them the same way with the buttercream. Starting with a layer of red, then white, then blue on top.

These are fun! Perfect for 4th of July or Presidents day. Or if you favorite colors are red, white, and blue!
