Here is the latest cake that I have made! I just finished the Wilton Fondant Class. This is the first cake that we made and covered in fondant.
The inside is a Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream. All fondant cakes that I make are first covered in a layer of buttercream. This way, if you do not choose to eat the fondant, there is frosting to enjoy! Most people don’t like the taste and texture of fondant, so they just peel it off. Its okay, it looks cute, but its not the tastiest.
I covered this cake in a light blue fondant and they cut out stars to adhere to the cake. I did the rope border on the bottom, then finished it all off with edible glitter and edible pearls. Cute and simple!
