So, the other month I decided to make some Bars. The first I decided on was a Snickerdoodle Blondie. The other was a Chai Gingerbread. I love cinnamon. I love gingerbread. But I wanted something different. Enter the cookie-in-bar form and the addition of some new spices into a familiar flavor.
The Snickerdoodle Blondie was very good. It was moist and thick and had a wonderful cinnamon flavor. The addition of a sprinkling of some cinnamon and sugar on top added a wonderful flavor and slight crunch.
The Chai Gingerbread Bar was made with whole wheat flour. It was thick, yet surprisingly light and not too sweet. You could taste the Chai, but it was not overpowering. There was a sprinkling of ground ginger and sugar on top which also added some additional flavor and sweetness.
